Bedford Care Center of Hattiesburg
Located in the heart of Hattiesburg’s medical community, just behind Forrest General Hospital, Bedford Care Center of Hattiesburg is a 152 bed skilled-nursing center. This center has beautifully updated common areas, a large gazebo, raised flower gardens and manicured lawns. The sunroom opens to an enclosed courtyard leading to a large, inviting dining room complete with a baby grand piano and fireplace. Bedford Care Center of Hattiesburg offers a specialized 30 bed rehabilitation unit with private rooms. Our rehabilitation unit offers an aggressive therapy program in addition to it's own separate day room and dining space. Well-equipped therapy rooms and activity programs throughout our center ensure's resident recreation in addition to the highest quality in care.
Bedford Care Center of Hattiesburg has been recognized as a 2017 recipient of the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award for its dedication to improving the lives of residents through quality care. The award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which was established in 1996 and spotlights providers across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality of care for residents and patients in long term and post-acute care centers and communities. Bedford Care Center of Hattiesburg was the only facility in Missisippi in 2017 to receive this high honor.
Meet Our Administrator
Shawn Carpenter is a native of Poplarville, MS and currently resides in the Oak Grove area. Shawn received a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He began his career in Hospital administration and has spent the last four years in Long-Term Care administration. Shawn has a passion for the health, wellness and betterment of our community and he is grateful for the opportunity to serve as Administrator of
